Transition Individualized Education Program (IEP) reviews are under way for rotation group one of Indicator 13 monitoring. A common issue is that information is being copied and pasted from year-to-year with no updates. The most current annual IEP is compared with the previous annual IEP to ensure that all transition sections are being informed by new assessments, transition services, and goals. Each section must be individualized to the student, including the steps being taken to ensure that they can be successful in their desired career. Local educational agencies (LEAs) will begin to receive notices in the coming weeks if issues with data arise. Contact IDOE’s Office of Special Education with any questions.
