A doctor’s signature is no longer required to qualify for accessible educational materials (AEM) from ICAM. A student must have a current Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and a print disability that is certified by a competent authority to receive the full range of ICAM support. Due to changes in the Marrakesh Treaty, educators, school psychologists, and certified reading specialists are now among the professionals authorized to certify students with reading disabilities. Eligibility and Certification for AEM ICAM/IERC NIMAS Form 4 has been updated to reflect this change. Contact IDOE’s Office of Student Support and Accessibility with any questions.
